Hello,
My name is Sultana. I am 17 years old. I live in Ibri in AL-Dhahira region. I was born in Ibri in1992. I study in Fatma Bint Qais School in grade 11. It is a beautiful and big school. I like all my subjects. I have 9 brothers and 5 sisters .I love my family very much. I like reading stories and writing poems. Also I like writing stories. I have chosen to join "Debunk Stereotypes project" because it is a wonderful project that enable us to discuss and meet people from different nations.By this project we can debunk stereotypes that are not true.
The status of Women in Oman has improved since 1970. Before this time women didn't have the right to participate in anything even schools. But now they have the right to do everything. They are the same as the men on everything. They can vote in Shura Council. They have also jobs in ministries as well.
